Chocolate or chocolate?
Most native speakers drop syllables in certain words.
confused? Don’t worry.
The word chocolate looks like it should have three syllables. But in natural English, a lot of native speakers tend to say it with two syllables. We dropped the /o/ sound. So [chop-koh-lut] becomes [chok-lut].
